The ancient archives of the abbey offer an invaluable and almost endless source of historical information. Throughout the ancien régime, the Premonstratensians were dedicated writers and administrators. They carefully maintained and transmitted their archives through the centuries, up to the present.
This historic archive presents a valuable collection of information on all aspects of life at Park Abbey, from 1129 to 1836. In addition to these abbey-related records, the archives also contain information on village, parish and rural history, genealogy, geography (including old maps) and relations between the Premonstratensians and the city and university. And there is much more to discover.
