Fauna and flora

Find peace amid 42 hectares of protected nature reserve

Ideal for spotting animals

The nature park, thanks to its varied landscape including woods, grasslands, open ponds and water with reed beds, provides an ideal environment for many species of animals. You can spot amphibians such as salamanders, toads and frogs, as well as reptiles such as slow worms and wall lizards.

Numerous bird species – kingfishers, black cormorants, herons and many more – nest, rest and forage around the abbey. With a bit of luck, you might even spot some rare species. Venture out and be amazed by the animals that cross your path!

Practical information

  • The nature park is open 24/7, but before 7 a.m. and after 10 p.m. we ask you to keep noise to a minimum
  • Picnics are allowed, but please leave no waste behind and use the rubbish bins on the site
  • This is a quiet area, so please respect the peace of the animals and visitors
